Compositions

JD Gaming’s blue-side draft is built around tempo, pick pressure, and volatile side lanes. JunJia’s Pantheon gives JDG a direct early-game route into every lane: he can gank for Xiaoxu’s Jax, protect HongQ’s Akali through difficult waves, or enable the Aphelios-Rakan bottom lane to turn one engage into a snowball. Rakan is the draft’s primary initiation tool, while Pantheon’s ultimate allows JDG to overload fights or answer Invictus Gaming’s moves across the map.

The composition’s most important strength is its ability to create uneven fights. Jax wants time and side-lane access, Akali wants isolated targets and messy skirmishes, and Aphelios becomes a devastating carry if JDG can establish front-to-back positioning around him. JDG do not need to play every objective conventionally; they can threaten flanks, collapse with Pantheon, and force IG to respect multiple angles.

Invictus Gaming drafted a more recognizable teamfight-and-engage composition. Wei’s Vi gives Rookie’s Ahri reliable access to priority targets, while Meiko’s Alistar can either start fights or protect JiaQi’s Sivir. TheShy’s Dr. Mundo provides a durable front line that makes IG harder to burst once fights become organized. Sivir’s ultimate is especially valuable because it turns Vi, Alistar, and Mundo into much more threatening engage vehicles.

IG’s win condition is cleaner in standard 5v5s. If Vi can lock down Aphelios or Akali, Ahri can follow with Charm and Fox-Fire damage while Sivir safely supplies sustained damage from the back line. Mundo also creates an awkward problem for JDG: Akali and Pantheon can threaten Sivir, but neither wants to waste too much time trying to remove a highly durable Mundo.

Key Picks

Jax is JDG’s defining draft piece. Xiaoxu has a favorable strategic role into Dr. Mundo because Jax can scale into a serious split-push threat and punish IG if they commit too many resources to grouped play. However, Jax needs to survive the early attention from Vi and Ahri. If IG repeatedly gank top, JDG’s side-lane plan can stall before it matters.

Pantheon is the highest-leverage pick in the game. JunJia must generate early value through ganks, invades, or objective presence. Pantheon falling behind is dangerous because Vi offers more dependable late-game engage and target access. Successful early plays around bot lane would be particularly valuable, as Aphelios with a lead can force IG’s short-range engage core to fight through overwhelming damage.

For IG, Vi-Ahri is the critical combination. Rookie does not need to carry every fight alone; he needs to follow Wei’s engage, find picks before objectives, and deny Akali clean access to Sivir. Meiko’s Alistar is equally important as a disruption tool against Rakan’s engage and Jax’s follow-up.

Draft Edge

JDG have the more flexible and threatening map composition, but IG own the easier execution in grouped fights. Blue side gives JDG strong counter-engage and side-lane options, yet their carries need coordination to avoid being caught by Vi and Ahri.

The draft edge slightly favors JD Gaming because Pantheon can accelerate both Akali and Jax, creating pressure that IG’s composition may struggle to answer simultaneously. Still, IG can reverse that advantage if they control vision, force early dragons, and keep fights compact.

Prediction

Expect JDG to prioritize early action through JunJia and Vampire, then use Xiaoxu’s Jax to pull IG apart after the mid game. If GALA reaches key items without giving Vi easy access, Aphelios should decide the larger fights.

Prediction: JD Gaming win, provided they convert their stronger early skirmishing tools into side-lane pressure before IG’s Vi-Ahri-Sivir teamfight engine comes online.
