G2 NORD vs Eintracht Frankfurt: Viktor Gamble in Prime League
G2 NORD enter Prime League Game 1 with a clear draft edge, while Eintracht Frankfurt bet on Viktor into Cassiopeia and a volatile Camille side lane.
Eintracht Frankfurt built this draft around a Viktor angle that has not rewarded them often enough: the champion sits at 37.0% in 27G in Prime League, owns just 33.3% globally in 30G into Cassiopeia, and Sencux himself has only 2G on it in Prime League. That does not make the pick unplayable, but it does mean the entire red-side setup has to buy time, keep mid stable, and let Viktor and Ziggs reach the map state where their range can control objectives instead of getting run over by early river fights.
Compositions
G2 NORD drafted a cleaner front-to-back and skirmish mix. Shelfmade on K'Sante gives stable engage and peel, Markoon on Olaf is the direct go-button into midgame fights, Toasty on Cassiopeia supplies sustained DPS and anti-dive control, while rin on Mel and Tockimo on Nautilus round out a comp that can fight early and still scale well enough. Their ideal game is simple: contest river first, force narrow-space fights, and snowball through Olaf-Nautilus access into Cassiopeia damage.
Eintracht Frankfurt are more conditional. Addusto on Camille gives split-push and backline threat, D4nKa on Xin Zhao brings early skirmish power, Sencux on Viktor and Devn on Ziggs provide scaling and poke, and Richu on Rell is the main engage bridge. The problem is timing: Camille wants side pressure, Viktor and Ziggs want setup time, and Rell-Xin Zhao want more committed entries. If those clocks do not sync, the comp can look split between engage and siege.
Key Picks and Stats
Mid lane is the pressure point of the draft. Toasty’s Cassiopeia owns a 54.3% global WR over 352G, a huge 87.5% in Prime League over 24G, and is 66.7% globally over 30G into Viktor, including 75.0% in Prime League over 4G. Toasty is also 100.0% on Cassiopeia in Prime League, albeit in 1G, with a 13.0 KDA. Across the rift, Sencux’s Viktor is 49.8% globally over 428G, but only 37.0% in Prime League over 27G, and just 25.0% into Cassiopeia in Prime League over 4G. That is a real counter-read in G2 NORD’s favor.
Bot lane also leans blue despite one mixed matchup stat. Tockimo’s Nautilus has a 62.5% Prime League WR over 32G and his personal mark is 66.7% over 9G with a 2.4 KDA. Nautilus only shows 42.9% globally into Rell over 105G, but it is 100.0% in Prime League over 2G. On the other side, Richu’s Rell is only 12.5% in Prime League over 8G, which undercuts the red side’s main engage tool.
Top and jungle are more playable for Eintracht Frankfurt, but still not enough to flip the sheet. Addusto’s Camille is 50.7% globally over 71G and 50.0% over 8G into K'Sante, while Shelfmade’s K'Sante is only 45.5% in Prime League over 11G. D4nKa’s Xin Zhao is also a real comfort look at 66.7% in Prime League over 6G with a 5.8 KDA, and the champion is 53.3% globally over 15G into Olaf. Still, Markoon’s Olaf carries a 53.6% global WR over 97G, and G2 NORD’s overall mid-support-jungle triangle looks more coherent.
Draft Edge
The pre-draft read favored G2 NORD because of broader pool depth and stronger conversion on priority picks, and that largely held. Jarvan IV never became the centerpiece, but Nautilus did appear exactly where last night’s analysis expected G2 NORD to gain value, and Olaf works as a practical pivot into the same early-fight identity. Without the actual ban phase listed here, it is impossible to judge whether Orianna, Jarvan IV, Nautilus, Ryze, or Xin Zhao were specifically targeted, but on the picks we can see, Eintracht Frankfurt moved away from the safer comfort-denial script and accepted the Viktor risk.
G2 NORD have the clearer win condition: first move through Nautilus and Olaf, then let Cassiopeia punish any over-commit from Xin Zhao, Rell, or Camille. Eintracht Frankfurt need D4nKa to create a lead before Cassiopeia controls choke points, and they need Addusto’s Camille to stretch the map enough that Viktor and Ziggs can poke rather than face clean engage.
Polymarket Market
Polymarket is decisive here and it agrees with the draft read. The Game 1 market prices G2 NORD at 80% against 20% for Eintracht Frankfurt, while the Series market NOW is also 80% to 20%. The Series pre-match line was 78% to 22%, so the market has moved +1.5 puntos porcentuales toward G2 NORD since roughly 90 min before the match.
Because the Game and current Series prices are identical, there is no extra market optimism for this specific map relative to the broader matchup; the moneyline is effectively saying the draft did not create a meaningful reason to fade the favorite. That makes sense. G2 NORD already had the stronger Elo, season WR, and head-to-head profile, and the actual draft handed them a Cassiopeia into Viktor lane with better blue-side coordination around Olaf and Nautilus.
Prediction
The model opened at 77% for G2 NORD against 23% for Eintracht Frankfurt, and the draft makes a small upward adjustment reasonable: 79% for G2 NORD, 21% for Eintracht Frankfurt. The best case for an upset is D4nKa’s Xin Zhao accelerating side lanes and Sencux surviving the early Cassiopeia windows long enough for Viktor-Ziggs scaling to matter. Still, with G2 NORD holding the better draft structure, the better market signal, and a stronger mid lane profile on paper, blue side should be favored to take Game 1.
