Compositions

Team WE drafted a front-to-back poke and zone-control composition built around Varus, Ryze, and Rumble. About’s Varus gives WE dependable long-range pressure before objectives, while Karis on Ryze can accelerate rotations with Realm Warp and punish a split formation. Cube’s Rumble is the pivotal terrain controller: The Equalizer can either seal a choke point for Varus poke or split JDG’s backline from its divers.

Monki’s Trundle is the defensive glue. Subjugate makes K'Sante substantially less durable in extended fights, and Pillar of Ice can interrupt Vi’s approach angles or leave Anivia vulnerable after Flash is unavailable. Erha’s Alistar adds a second peel layer, giving WE tools to deny JDG the immediate access their composition requires.

JD Gaming opted into a hard-engage, pick-oriented setup. JunJia’s Vi and Vampire’s Camille are designed to create unavoidable backline pressure, especially against immobile carries. GALA’s Ziggs converts any successful pick into turret damage and objective control, while HongQ’s Anivia provides a powerful follow-up zone with Glacial Storm and wall placement. Xiaoxu’s K'Sante rounds out the draft as a durable engage facilitator who can isolate a target after JDG gain the first opening.

Key Picks

Rumble is WE’s highest-value draft piece. JDG want to run directly through narrow spaces around dragons and Baron, but Equalizer makes those entries costly. If Cube can hold his ultimate until Vi commits, WE can force JDG’s engage squad to fight while burning through Rumble’s damage field.

For JDG, Camille support is the sharpest win-condition pick. Hextech Ultimatum can lock Varus or Ryze in place after Vi starts the play, and Camille’s mobility gives Vampire more flank access than a conventional support would have. The risk is that Camille offers less reliable protection for Ziggs; if WE survive the first engage, GALA can be exposed to Ryze’s follow-up and Trundle’s Pillar.

Anivia is also strategically important because her wall can deny Ryze’s intended pathing and make WE’s retreat routes predictable. However, HongQ needs careful positioning. Anivia lacks mobility, and an aggressive Realm Warp, Pillar, or Alistar combo can turn her into WE’s easiest target before a major objective.

Draft Edge

JDG have the clearer point-and-click engage chain. Vi ultimate into Camille ultimate can remove a carry from the fight before WE’s disengage tools matter, and Ziggs thrives when opponents are forced away from towers after losing members. JDG’s composition is especially dangerous when they establish vision first and attack from fog of war.

WE hold the more flexible objective-fight structure. Their damage is easier to apply from range, their frontline disruption is stronger, and both Ryze and Rumble can reshape the map around neutral objectives. Trundle is particularly valuable into K'Sante because he reduces JDG’s ability to use Xiaoxu as an unbreakable frontline anchor.

The draft hinges on initiation timing. If JDG engage cleanly onto About or Karis before Equalizer and Alistar can respond, their layered crowd control should snowball the map. If WE maintain vision, poke JDG before a fight, and force Vi to enter through a predictable corridor, their counter-engage can dismantle JDG’s dive.

Prediction

JDG’s composition has the more direct execution path, but Team WE have the stronger 5v5 answer if they reach organized objective fights without conceding early picks. Expect JDG to pressure side angles through Camille and Vi, while WE prioritize river vision and force fights around Rumble’s ultimate.

The edge is narrowly with Team WE in a disciplined mid-game setup: Varus poke, Ryze rotation threat, and Trundle’s anti-frontline utility give them more ways to control the pace once major objectives spawn.
