Compositions

Nongshim Esports Academy built a volatile teamfight composition around MihawK’s Jarvan IV and Pleata’s Camille. Their draft wants decisive engage windows: Jarvan IV can lock down priority targets with Cataclysm, while Camille can follow from range and isolate a carry. SeTab’s Anivia adds a powerful control layer, using Glacial Storm and terrain manipulation to punish opponents trapped inside narrow spaces.

The blue side’s front line is reinforced by Janus on K'Sante, giving Nongshim a dependable primary tank who can either peel for Jhin and Anivia or threaten a backline displacement. Lucy’s Jhin is not the most traditional sustained-damage carry, but his long-range follow-up is excellent when Jarvan IV, Camille, or Anivia creates a pick. Nongshim’s ideal fights are structured around catching one exposed KT member, forcing Flash, then converting the next engage into objectives.

KT Rolster Challengers drafted a more damage-heavy, poke-oriented setup. Ghost’s Corki and Hwichan’s Cassiopeia offer major late-game DPS, while Sero’s Rumble creates brutal zone control around dragons and barons. Rumble’s Equalizer can split Nongshim’s formation before Jarvan IV gets a clean engage, and Cassiopeia is particularly effective into divers because Miasma restricts their mobility.

Sylvie’s Naafiri supplies the direct engage threat KT otherwise lacks. Her ultimate can quickly reach Jhin or Anivia, especially if Shen follows with Stand United. Pollu’s Shen also gives KT strong side-lane insurance, allowing Rumble or Naafiri to pressure a side lane while still joining a numbers-favored fight.

Key Picks

Camille support is the defining surprise in Nongshim’s draft. Pleata has enormous pick potential, but the champion is fragile in standard front-to-back fights and can be punished by Cassiopeia’s Miasma. If Camille finds successful roams with Jarvan IV, Nongshim can snowball rapidly through mid lane and neutral objectives. If those plays fail, she may struggle to provide reliable peel against Naafiri and Rumble.

Anivia is also central to the blue side’s win condition. Her wall can deny Corki escape routes and make Equalizer positioning awkward, but she needs time and defensive vision to scale. KT should look to pressure SeTab before Anivia can control river entrances.

For KT, Cassiopeia is the most important answer to Nongshim’s engage. A disciplined Miasma can stop Camille’s Hookshot follow-up and make Jarvan IV’s all-in far riskier. Shen further complicates picks because a seemingly isolated target can suddenly receive a shield and immediate support.

Draft Edge

Nongshim have the cleaner engage chain and stronger immediate pick tools. Jarvan IV, Camille, Anivia, and Jhin can layer crowd control extremely well, particularly around chokepoints. Their composition is dangerous whenever KT lack vision or walk into river first.

However, KT possess the more forgiving scaling profile. Corki and Cassiopeia can shred frontliners, Rumble controls objective terrain, and Shen’s global presence can neutralize side-lane pressure. KT’s draft also has better anti-dive tools, which directly target Nongshim’s preferred engage pattern.

The draft edge is narrow, but KT Rolster Challengers have the more stable composition if they survive the opening tempo.

Prediction

Nongshim should seek early ganks through Jarvan IV and Camille, with mid lane as the most valuable target. A successful roam onto Cassiopeia could unlock dragons and allow Anivia to dictate objective setups.

Still, KT’s combination of Cassiopeia control, Shen protection, and superior sustained damage should become increasingly difficult to break. If Ghost reaches his key Corki items without falling behind, KT can win front-to-back fights even after Nongshim starts the engage.

Prediction: KT Rolster Challengers win Game 1, provided they respect Nongshim’s early pick threat and avoid fighting blindly in Anivia-controlled terrain.
